Redirecting to a page based on the day of the week DailyRedirect lets you display a different Web page for each day of the week, based on the date set in the viewer's computer. For example, when a viewer loads the page or clicks a text link, the browser can be redirected to display a page specified for that day of the week. If any of the day text boxes are left blank (Empty Reference!), the browser is not redirected on that day, but stays on the original page instead. Note: Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer retrieve the date information when the browser is first launched. If the computer's date is changed without restarting the browser (for example, to test the action), the new date is not noticed by the action.
To apply the DailyRedirect action: 1 Set up the action trigger as described in Setting up actions. 2 Choose Actions Plus > DailyRedirect in the Action menu in the Action Inspector or the Actions palette. 3 For each day's Location text box, link to a Web page or URL you want to display. If you don't link to a page or URL (leaving it as Empty Reference!), the page is not redirected on that day.
